Alum Cave Bluffs in Winter

The hike to Alum Cave Bluffs is probably my favorite winter hike in Great Smoky Mountains National Park. I love seeing the icicles hanging over the bluff – sometimes several feet long. If it warms to just a little above freezing, the icicles drop like missiles to the ground.
