127 Hours: The Aron Ralston Story

Aron Ralston, the man who sawed his arm off after it was pinned under a boulder in a slot canyon in Utah, is the subject of a new movie coming out in early November.

The movie, called 127 Hours as a result of the amount of time he was trapped, is based on Aron's life story as told in his book "Between a Rock and a Hard Place".

The film features rising star James Franco as Ralston.

The trailer, below, is pretty compelling. I definitely plan on checking this movie out.

Below is a trailer for the 2009/2010 Banff Mountain Film Festival. Let me tell you, there is some outstanding and incredibly beautiful footage in this short film. Make sure to watch the last scene. I posted this same footage on this blog about a year ago. I thought that maybe it was manipulated, but now appears to be the real deal.

Check out the trailer below for the upcoming kayaking film called Dream Result. The film is scheduled to be released this winter. The three-and-a-half minute trailer includes some amazing footage of some of the world's top kayakers.

The film was produced by Russ Sturges and Tyler Bradt. The latter you may remember from a posting back in May that shows the amazing video of Bradt becoming the world record holder after paddling over Palouse Falls, a 186-foot falls in Washington State.
